Mercy Place Montrose is home to over 100 residents and offers nursing home, hostel and dementia specific beds.Respite care is also available for local families.
Mercy Place Montrose is set in beautiful gardens, nestled at the foot of the DandenongRanges in the Melbourne suburb of Montrose.
Residents are able to maintain independent and active lives with plenty of stimulation through the therapies and programs, including aromatherapy, reading, quizzes, craft, visiting entertainers, outings, church services and the ‘men’s group’.
Rooms are sunny and spacious with lounge and community areas located around the facility for residents and their families.
Mercy Place Montrose enjoys fantastic mountain and bush views.
The extensive gardens and lawns provide a lovely setting in which to wander or just sit and relax. The gardens are frequently visited by wildlife; feeding trays encourage many indigenous birds to the grounds.
Originally called Tullamore, it was established in 1982 by a local community group (Lilydale & District Aged Care Council). Mercy Health accepted an invitation to take ownership of Tullamore (now known as Mercy Place Montrose) in 1999.
